Matching The Color Perfectly For Your Car

Matching The Color Perfectly For Your Car

If you are having some painting touch-ups done on your car, or having a small rock chip repaired, it’s a good idea to hire a professional who knows how to get the right color match, says Aaron Baird, who owns econ.net/”>West Coast Recon, a mobile automotive reconditioning company based in southern California.

Every car has a color code that corresponds to its original color. Usually, it is somewhere under the hood, in the door seal, or in the driver’s door area. Each color code has a mixture ratio, which I can look up on my iPhone to learn exactly what it is. Once I find out the particulars, I am able to use a sensitive weight scale to mix that color.

I carry around a set of paints with about 75 different toners, with which I can mix almost any automotive color in the world. The paint company that I use is a worldwide one, PPG. I would say that 99% of the time I do not have a problem with color matching. The only time I do is usually when a car has been repainted a different color from what it was originally. In that case, I usually match the color by the eye, which is much more difficult. Therefore, I charge more.

When people call me, they sometimes ask about color matching. They want to know if I can match the color correctly so that their vehicle looks good. I always explain to them that every car has a color code. I know where it is, and I can match it perfectly every single time. Don’t worry that having a few paint touch-ups on your car will results in a blotchy look. Thanks to advanced computer technology, we guarantee a perfect color match. Once we find your car’s color code, we can mix up our own match on the spot, so you are always a satisfied customer.

We do a lot of touch-ups on cars, and if the area is small enough, we can do an airbrush chip repair. This is often a low-cost alternative to repainting your vehicle and may be the best solution. With West Coast Recon, you can rest assured that we will match the color perfectly and then airbrush the chips with paint and clear coat, saving you even more time and money. Please feel free to calll us.

Help answer the question about system airbrush car

What type of car should i pimp out?
I want to make a show car and i would like to know your opinions of what you think i should do. Stick with my pulsar (i havent seen one full custom one around), or just go with the trend and get a WRX or something.

Here is the pulsar http://www.cardomain.com/ride/827632

In my mind id like it a candy apple red or a purplish color with custom white interior and some 18 inch chromers. With an airbrushed bonet and also airbrushed inside the car on the door trims. I am going with an infinity/soundstream sound system and am going to put a CA18DET or SR20DET in it. < engines.

Should i try it and try be one of a kind or just join the pack?
